Airports
Istanbul's Ataturk airport is the largest in the country and is busy with flights from destinations around the world. As well as being the hub for Turkish Airlines international flights, it's domestic terminal is the centre of the domestic flight network.
In the south, Bodrum, Dalaman and Antalya are the main gateway airports handling hundreds of charter flights in summer. Izmir also handles some international scheduled and charter flights.
Scheduled Flights
British Airways and Turkish Airlines have direct scheduled flights every day from Heathrow to Istanbul, with Turkish Airlines also operating 5 flights a week from Manchester to Istanbul, where you can connect with internal flights across the country.
Cyprus Turkish Airlines operate the following scheduled flights throughout the year, with the aircraft continuing on to Northern Cyprus afterwards:
Heathrow - Izmir & Antalya
Gatwick - Antalya, Dalaman & Izmir
Stansted - Antalya
Manchester - Dalaman
Belfast - Antalya
Glasgow - Antalya
These CTA flights are particularly useful in winter, when there are fewer charter flights.
Charter Flights
Excel Airways, First Choice Airways, MyTravel Airways, and Thomas Cook Airlines all operate charter flights from UK airports during the summer season (May-Oct).
Flight-only deals are also available from Avro, Cosmos and Thomson
