Datca is a seaside resort on the picturesque and unspoilt Resadiye Peninsular. Despite a recent building boom, it has a sleepy, laid back atmosphere and the village of Old Datca, a short drive inland, has some pretty stone cottages which have been converted into small guesthouses.
Datca's harbour is a popular port-of-call for sailing boats and is overlooked by fish restaurants where you can enjoy the catch of the day with a bottle of local wine.
There are several beaches nearby or you can explore the rest of the peninsular by boat or car, discovering it's rustic villages and isolated beaches. At the tip of the peninsular are the remains of ancient Knidos, site of the famous sanctuary of Aphrodite.
